The Northeastern Line Constructors Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association created the Line Construction Advancement Fund (LCAF) in 2015. The purpose of the LCAF is to provide grants and contracts to vendors and other organizations for the development of training and other training-related programs designed to improve the skill level and technological innovation within the Outside Line Electrical Construction Industry. Since its inception, LCAF has developed training and programs for Personal Protective Grounding, Daily Job Briefings, Human Performance Improvement, Outside Line Foremanship, Transformer Training and Leadership. The Line Construction Advancement Fund (LCAF) has been established as a tax-exempt entity under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
